Our Seamless Acrylic Shielding System features crystal clear, Crystaplex 590 Plus acrylic, the thickest, strongest, most durable shielding material ever used in a hockey rink. In the entire 2011-12 NHL season, in 14 arenas, in over 600 NHL games, only 2 pieces were broken.

Series 6A Supported Shield
As the choice of community rinks and major sports facilities around the world, the Crystaplex ® Series 6A Supported Shield dasherboard system offers both durability and efficiency. This system features the Series 6A lightweight, 6-inch welded aluminum frame, with acrylic shielding.
The design of the board panels design allows easy dismantling; acrylic sheilding is lighter than tempered safety glass, allowing the arena crew to perform quick, efficient changeovers.
Who's got our boards?
NCAA schools such as Bemidji State University, University of Minnesota Duluth, and Boston University (Agganis and Walter Brown Arenas), with new systems having been installed in 2011 at Dartmouth College and the University of Notre Dame. The new arena at The Pennsylvania State University will feature our boards as well (opening in 2013).
In the NHL,24 of the 30 arenas feature 6A Series boards, including new systems in the summer of 2011 in San Jose, Nashville and Minnesota.
Our boards are also in a growing number of arenas in the Kontinental Hockey League, including arenas in Minsk, Moscow, and - new for 2012 - Chelyabinsk, the home of the Traktor Chelyabinsk Hockey Club, and the 2013 KHL All-Star game.
Series 6A Seamless Glass
Professional teams and multi-use arenas that want to provide fans with a clear, unobstructed view of the game have found a champion in the Crystaplex ® Series 6A Seamless Glass dasherboard system. Starting with the Series 6A lightweight, 6-inch welded aluminum frame, this system features a patented U-channel system that holds tempered glass shielding in place without supports.
Tempered glass offers an unobstructed, undistorted view to spectators and cameras, and is easy to maintain, and the design of the board panels design allows easy dismantling for quick and efficient changeovers.
