Pro XL Series (page 1 of 2)
The “Pro XL” Series is our premium board series. It is the same as the “Pro” series with the exception of an additional vertical member and anchor every 4 feet. Each panel weighs 160 pounds.
Applications: For indoor skating, where the glass exceeds 8 feet in height. For outdoor skating rinks, where the “Pro XL” has been designed to withstand the extreme outdoor temperature changes. If it is “top-of-the-line” you are looking for, the “Pro XL” is it.
Note: Due to the additional vertical frame member, this system is not as flexible and does not have as much movement capability in the board or glass area as does the “Pro” series. This trade off is necessary for the applications listed above.
Advantages: These boards are designed to withstand the expansion and contraction in temperature variations of 120 degrees F. They allow drainage under the boards so they are ideal for summer time use as well. The anodized aluminum frames will stay looking like new indefinitely in spite of being subjected to the elements. When compared to steel boards, they will last much longer and remain flexible for player safety.
