What We Have Done
We have developed “Anodized Aluminum Arena Boards”. Unlike our competitors, our boards are made with high strength, lightweight, mechanically fastened extruded anodized aluminum tubing. Each component is specially designed to fit together, there are no exposed brackets, anchors or strength supports and nothing to trip over. The finish on the aluminum is clear anodized and matches the finish on the glazing posts. They are easy to wipe clean and do not rust. A simple cleaning with mild detergent and water regularly is all that is required to maintain it’s beauty indefinitely. The bottom rail provides a straight edge to run a floor cleaning machine along.
Our 8’ panel section weighs 150 lbs, half the weight of steel, and can be carried easily by 2 people.
The aluminum is flexible and will give when impacted by the players, but will not stay bent because of it’s structural aluminum alloy. This flexibility makes it safer for players.
Our glass supports prevent the glass from moving or falling out on impact. Glass breakage is almost non-existent. No cabling is required. Their strength and flexibility make it safer for players and spectators.
Our man gates are opened with a light touch on our recessed button mounted on top of the door at easy reach and is accessible from either side of the glass. They are adjustable, require no wheel to carry it’s weight when open and have no protruding handles. The locking hardware is 3/8” stainless steel and is replaceable with minimal tools.
Our machine gates open with a light touch, the hardware does not protrude or allow opportunities for pinched fingers during operation. The hardware has plastic coated handles for safety. The threshold will stand any sized vehicle driving over it and is bolted securely to the floor.
Our boards as like all our related products, have been designed to our engineer’s specifications for strength. An engineer’s stamp on our product drawings is available. We have had a fabricated mock up of our actual product tested by a professional engineering company and the product did not fail at 2-1/2 times the design load requirement. The reports on our engineering and testing are available.
Architects and Engineers are able to specify our product and use our specifications with confidence because the home work has been done. It is very challenging for our competitors to match a Sport Systems specification.
There are no other boards on the market like these at this time. We are very proud of all of our products. We receive a lot of compliments from our customers and our customers receive a lot of compliments on their Sport Systems boards. Our customers sometimes forget when they are talking about their “high tech” boards or “I bought the best boards on the market”, that they didn’t pay any more for their boards than they would have for steel. In fact the low yearly maintenance costs and the fact that they won’t be faced with the cost of replacing their boards in 25 years, makes these the lowest cost boards on the market.
